Postponed - Knitting Skills Builder: Colorwork 101

We value your health and safety. In light of the most recent updates regarding the current public health situation here in Portland, we've decided to postpone this event and will be issuing refunds to all registered students. New dates will be posted on our website, newsletter, and Facebook as soon as we have them. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.


Do you want to create pictures in your knitting? Take the leap and add that second yarn! Theressa will cover the basics to get you started on this fun colorful technique. A chart will be provided in class.

Materials: DK or worsted weight yarn and appropriately sized needles*.

* You will be working in the round so bring either a set of DPNs or a long circular needle if magic loop is preferred.

Registered students will receive a 10% discount on all class materials puchased at Weird Sisters Yarn.

Work the following before class:
CO 40sts and join in the round.
Rnds 1, 3 and 5: Knit.
Rnds 2 and 4: Purl.

About the Teacher

Theressa Silver is a freelance designer, teacher, and author. Her most recent book, “Knitting Wild” showcases the beauty of America’s national parks and wildlife refuges. Theressa is a biologist by training and the influence of math and science can be seen in many of her designs. When she is not knitting she likes to be outside kayaking or hiking. She lives in Milwaukie, OR with her husband, son, two cats, and a dog, all of whom occasionally participate one way or another in the knitting process. Theressa can be found on Ravelry and Instagram as “argentgal.”


Class Policy

Minimum enrollment for this class is 2 students. In the event that the minimum enrollment is not met, class will be cancelled and registrants will be notified and refunded. Class registrations are non-transferrable except in the event of a rescheduled class.

Registration refunds will not be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of an event or class.

Registration service fees associated with Eventbrite or other ticketing services are not refundable by us and are subject to the terms and policies of the ticketing service.
