Postponed - Knitting Skills Series: Short Rows

We value your health and safety. In light of the most recent updates regarding the current public health situation here in Portland, we've decided to postpone this event and will be issuing refunds to all registered students. New dates will be posted on our website, newsletter, and Facebook as soon as we have them. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Short rows are a wonderful technique for shaping and blending color but can be really frustrating if the end product has gaps, twisted stitches, or funny bits of crossing yarn. Theressa will give a breif overview of what short rows are and how they’re used. She will demonstrate the traditional “wrap and turn” method as well as German short rows, an alternative method using yarn overs that keeps the extra yarn on the needle making it more visible and easier to work correctly, resulting in perfect short rows.

Materials: The size yarn and needles that you are most comfortable working with.

Work the following before class:
CO 25 sts.
Work 1/2 inch in garter stitch.
Work 1/2 inch in stockinette stitch.
Leave the work on the needles.

Fee: $15

Register online or in the shop!
