Tunisian crochet, also known as Afghan crochet, is sometimes considered to be a mixture of
crocheting and knitting. In this class, you will learn the Tunisian Simple Stitch in a small project to create
a cotton dishcloth. The technique can be easily adapted for a larger square or rectangle to make other
projects such as a scarf, table runner, or blanket – all with a standard crochet hook!
Skill Level: Any, some crochet experience helpful.
This project is designed for those with no experience with Tunisian crochet. Some basic crochet
techniques will be used – chain, single crochet, slip stitch.

Crochet hook (any style, 1.0mm larger than recommended on yarn package)
Fee: $20, includes pattern. Registered students will receive a 10% discount on any class materials purchased at Weird Sisters Yarn.
About the teacher:
Tiffany Slauter is a traffic engineer by profession with a mild to moderate crochet
addiction. She learned to crochet from her mom as a child and has been crocheting regularly over the
last 12 years with Tunisian crochet added to the mix over the last four years. Though she’s rarely
without a work-in-progress, she also enjoys board games, drinking tea with friends, and attending
Timbers games with her husband.
